Remote Desktop

I can log into the remote computer fine and work with the programs. However, when I close out of the remote desktop the monitor continues to show my Novell screen (lan client). I can relogin to the remote and work but it will not re-display the desktop on the remote unless I go to the remote and login into Novell on that computer again.
