Hey, i ended up reformatting my computer, but i have all my good files on another computer. I looked up how to get my files from there through remote desktop, but i couldn't figure it out. Someone please help!!!

Don't use Remote Desktop for that. Use this:

SNG... Will that work over the Internet to another location?

No, don't think so. But you can import the new settings and files (the ones from your old computer) at any point during the lifetime of your XP install. So if you have internet on both computers you could send the file over email/IM/FTP/whatever. There may actually be a way to make it work over the internet, but I'm on an OS X machine right now so I can't look. But like I said there isn't anything inherently special about how this works, its just a real simple thing that creates a file for you to import on the new machine.

    That makes sense.
I did use it over a lan.
At any rate it is a handy program.
