Is it possible from an XP media Edition to connect to a XP home edition PC remotely? If so, how and if not is it possible through other software?

WIndows XP Home is crippleware and it does not have Remote Desktop capabilities.

The free remote control solution would be any of the VNC flavours. Try UltraVNC - it is feature-rich and user-friendly. Of course, there are tons of pay-for applications like pcAnywhere or GoToMyPC or RAdmin or we.
