Removal of Downloader.zlob & js/download.agent

  1. Hi,One of the computers at my office was infected about a week ago with these two viruses.* I got the zlob at my home computer and it was a PAIN to remove...I don't want to attempt it again without any guidance.* Any suggestions?

    So I tried using Trendmicro and once I get to the scanning stage, it says "there were no folders selected to scan." I tried to manually select folders to scan but that didn't work either so I'm assuming the virus is blocking my attempts...dangit. Also i forgot to add that when I viewed the history log on AVG it showed the downloader.zlob file was found last week in a virus scan but after AVG failed to remove it, that virus didn't appear in any successive scans.

    Hi afaircloth and welcome to techspot. =)

    I suggest you do the following before doing anything else

    Important: Please read this thread HERE before deciding if you should CLEAN or FORMAT your system

    Should you decide to that cleaning your system is the best option, please go to Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions and follow the steps given.
    Do follow all the instructions exactly.

    Thereafter, please post fresh HijackThis, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread.
    Do not copy and paste your logs if not they will be removed.

    Our experts here will tend to your queries thereafter.

    Also, please provide the results of the Antirootkit scan

    Regards,
    momok =)
