    Hi,

I just bought a new Dell laptop (my first laptop), and one thing that irritates me is that after the normal Dell bootscreen with the chip logo, etc., I get a 2nd advertisement screen with a blue bar at the top that ways "www.dell.com" before the OS load.

Look, the laptop cover says Dell on it, the initial boot-up screen says it too, and for $#@$# sake - I bought the computer FROM DELL. So why are they shoving their brand down my throat????

Anyway, is there any (safe for computer users with above average but not programmer-level skills) way to remove that useless website ad page from the boot process?

    Thanks!

    Umm No

It's embedded into your system bios, I would recommend to leave it alone.
ie Faulty BIOS - Computer won't start !

Others may reply regarding splash screen in CMOS, and logo.sys
My answer to them - Still No

Turn on the computer, go and get a coffee !

    Solved!

Bummer. That's what I was afraid of. I sure as H am not going to mess around and do something stupid, so I guess I will just have to live with it. :/

    Thanks for the response. :)
