Removeable disk

"My Computer" is showing a Removeable Disk (F) but I have nothing there. What does this mean?

I have 31/2 Floppy (A), Local Disk (C), DVD Drive(D), CD-RW Drive(E) and OneTouch4(G), and a printer.

Right click on the "Removable Drive F:" > Properties > Hardware tab. Is any information provided about it?

Do you use any thumb drives, MP3 players or memory card readers?

Are you using any program like Daemon tools Power Iso or MagicIso they create virtual drives you can simply turn the program on and disable virtual drives or from your "My computer menu" you can right click properties i think and disable it....you should do what zenosincks says and investigate first.

My son has plugged in an ipod from time to time. Could this be what is being referred to as the removable disk (F)? It sounds like it from the Zenosinks reply.

If it's really bothering you and you're absolutely certain that you don't need it, then you can just unmount it.

Start>Run>cmd
"mountvol f: /d"
