Removing XP installer

  1. I recently tried to reinstall XP on my computer but the installer that it wrote over my boot files for XP is corrupted. I have another install of XP on a different disk that I can use to access the first one. Does anyone know what files to replace to remove the installer so I can boot XP again?

You can try to use the recovery console on the Windows CD to do a FIXMBR or FIXBOOT command. You could also download an Ultimate Boot CD and do the same to see if that fixes it.
