Hello people of techspot, (or whoever will read this)

About a 3 months ago now I visited the UK with my laptop. When overseas my normal antivirus program, ESET, expired. I thought I could wait until I got back to the states until I would renew it. I downloaded a thing or two (forget what they were), and that is when this message (res://C:\Windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm) started appearing in my IE address bar thing... Immediately, I deleted the downloaded files and ran a free antivirus software that I had heard was good called Avast! No luck. Got back to the states and was convinced that once I renewed ESET everything would be OK. Renewed it. Found a bug or two. Rebooted but still... no luck. After trying every free antivirus software known to man, hundreds of reboots, and hours of trying to solve this problem, I downloaded Google Chrome to see if I would get the same message I do in IE. Oddly, it takes me to about:blank. AGHH!!!!

I have read many articles concerning this and everyone goes into safe mode and posts what they found on hijack this.

This is what I found:

Running processes:

Sorry for all the stuff :(

Anything would help now,

Broni, thanks for all the help.

Only one small problem. I am on step four (gmer) and I am having troubling running it.

First I disconnected from the internet and turned off my firewall, then ran the program. After a minute or two it said error running (my random gmer program). Next, I restarted and tried again. No luck. After that, I booted into safe mode where I was given the same "error" message. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for all the help,
xPepsi
