I have read most of the posts relating to this topic. Sorry to bring it up again but while taking my latitude apart I found my motherboard to be completely encased in metal. I went looking online for a replacement motherboard to see what they look like and indeed they are covered(sealed) in metal casing. I am trying to get to the 24c02 chip so that I can short out the pins. Since my motherboard is built differently than the one in the instructions, I'm not sure where on the motherboard the chip might be. And also has anyone taken apart the metal casing, such as the one I have, successfully without damage to the board?
