Resetting an iPhone 5

Maybe for a jail-broken iPhone. There isn't a lot of tweaking you can do to a regular one. I looked for clock widget and keyboard replacement for my iPhone 4 couple months ago, because I wanted it to look and feel like my Android phone. Found none. I did find some articles saying iOS is pretty much locked down and doesn't allow apps to have too much control. So I left it as is. It's my work phone so I didn't want to violate the IT policy by jail breaking it. In my opinion, my 2+ yr old Galaxy phone had a better user experience out of the box.

Yes, most phones' USB cables serve as both charging & data cable. And if you do a lot of file transfer and get tired of plugging & unplugging the cable, there are file manager apps that can do that via wi-fi. You will need to enable sharing of the folder, if not already, where you plan on transferring the files to though.

I just got what I thought was an update similiar to MS updates since it did mention "bug fixes".
Once it completed, I found the 3 apps I downloaded gone. I'll have no problem getting them back hopefully, but that is why I quit using iTunes years ago.Everytime I updated iTunes, it was a BIG hassle.
If these IOS updates require me to redownload the same apps, what a *****.

What security programs do I need for my iPhone?

None.

Updates to the OS of the phone come from: Settings > General > Software Update.

Don't know why your apps disappeared. Try dragging down on the screen to bring up the search box, and search for em.

Earlier this afternoon I asked a friend why the #1 was on settings on mine & she said something about notifications. Ok, I admit I got too nosey (impatient) & decided to go for it & thats when I saw part of a phrase mentioning bug fixes.
As of now, I've got said apps back but its still not operating the way it was. I'll get used to it, hopefully, lol. Thanks :)

Ok,my bad. Tired & a bit impatient, I found the apps I thought were gone. Thanks for your patience, still learning my PC/iPhone.

Just after I got this iphone I successfully changed the desktop wallpaper. Well, earlier I tried to change it again but the directions were different, here http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conte...as-wallpaper-on-your-iphone.navId-407183.html
"
To select an image as your iPhone wallpaper:
  1. Tap the picture.
Make sure the picture controls are displayed.
  2. Tap the icon at the bottom left (the one that looks like an arrow trying to escape from a rectangle)." . That part is correct. picture in next post since it won't let me attach it here.

On iPhone 4, pressing & hold the home button, then pressing the power button will capture the screen. Probably does the same on iPhone 5.

Ok, but what I'm trying to do is use a saved picture for my desktop picture.
Everything was working fine till that first software update. Since then, icons changed color/shape & directions that once worked, don't.

Whatever it was that you used to take a picture of the screen (post #42), just saying there's a build-in method.

Ok, in post #42, once I held the iphone horizontal, there was a wallpaper icon not visible the way I was holding it when I posted. My bad. I'm too damn impatient & wanting solutions before I think of them. I think that makers sense. I do thank you for your patience with me.
