I was at a friends place a couple weeks ago & he gave me his wifi username/password so I could be online with my iPhone any place & I was online while I was there but a few days later I tried going online with it but couldn't so I ended up using the free wifi where I was at.
Is there a way to look for his wifi so I can use it later? TIA.

Well, I'm guessing it is not possible? :(

Not quite sure what you're trying to connect to? Is the user name & pwd for a hotspot your friend connects to? If the network has a hidden SSID, you'll have to enter it manually, it won't show up in the list of network unless you've connected to it previously.

Ok, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's the wifi where he works. I know the password & the first part of the user name, but thats is it.
I now know I should of wrote it down while I was there, but I failed to do such :(

@Rabbit01 , it was my understanding an iPhone is like a computer where you can see available networks even if they're not yours. As an example, on my Vista I can see another network besides mine.
I guess I'll just wait till the next time I go to his place & I'll write it down. Thank you. :)

No, not really.

If you're really concerned (I wouldn't be), the battery is best kept between 20 and 90% capacity.

But since you don't know the exact capacity, just carry on doing what you're doing. :)

I saw this today http://www.komando.com/news/242793/...-bad-as-you-could-imagine-what-you-need-to-do & it took me to here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222 so I went to settings/general/software update & it says iOS 7.0.6
Apple Inc.
12.8 mb
This security update provides a fix for SSL connection verification.

For info on the security content of this , please visit this website & its the 2nd link I posted here.
Below all that is a clickable link to download and install. Should I wait till I see the reminder on my settings button or go for it? :)

I think as long as the battery is kept cool and it is being used and drained monthly leaving it in with the cable is always the best practice regardless of battery chemistry or technology. Cheers

Technical best practise: keep battery cool, keep it between 20-90% capacity, do not do full discharges.

Consumer best-interests: use it, plug it in when it needs charging. Nothing else.

Thank you. Mine has never been too warm or even hot. I've never let it get more than 50-60% empty.

Yes, another question. :) Tapping Settings>Wi-fi> & towards the bottom, it says"Ask to join Networks" (no quotes).
At home my iPhone connects automatically to the wi fi. Is there a way to auto connect to other known good wi fi networks I use? Ok, so thats 2 questions, thanks.

Known networks (if you have connected before) are joined automatically. If you turn on 'Ask to Join Networks' and no known networks are in range, it'll pop up saying "do you wanna join xyz network?"

Why do I have no problem going to my email addy's without logging in all the time, but I have to login to TechSpot every time. I've googled it but found nothing that works, yet .

Do you log out? If not, then you shouldn't have to log in every time. If you've saved the password, then it should auto fill and all you have to do is log in.

I've never seen the option to save the password. No, I don't log out.
I think I might of figured it out. I had to turn on Names & Passwords. We'll se, hopefully it works. :)

The adjustment(s) I made worked. I let it sit over night, NOT logged out & just now was able to tap the app & was logged it. Hopefully it stays that way. :)

Ok, I don't recall asking this before, so I'm wondering why when I play the CBSEVENINGNEWS news using the cbsevening news app, the video plays upside down? I know it's upside down because I have an iPhone holder & am able to watch other videos "normally"? :)
