I currently just bought a 32" LCD HDTV and its resolution is 1366x900 which of course my computer doesnt support. Is there a program i could use to make my resolution equal to my tv's? I set it to 1024x768 to test and it didnt autostretch so then i tried 1400x900 and it did the same ****! Help please! :(

I'm not entirely sure but I think you should be able to get some unofficial firmware updates for your Graphics Card but you may spend some time looking.

I had a problem like yours on my new 26inch HD tv. Then I found out there was a button on the remote to stretch the picture.

I wouldn't like to be negative, moreover on this first day I spend in the community, but in my opinion, you don't need a video card witch better resolution would be greater than your screen one, but a video card that know the vesa resolution that corresponds.
Anytime, "croping" should be easier vertically than horizontally...
These are ways I would search : keep us informed
good luck
