Hello,
I recentley replaced trustedinstaller.exe here because it was deleted by avast. In order to be able to copy it over I granted logon "family" full rights via the command prompt. I was a bit hasty and never took note of original settings.
The folder's security has the following entries: family, administrators, users, trusted installer. The entry for "family" only has one box checked - special permissions. I think this is the one that's been created by me since family's normal rights are covered by "users" anyway.
So just wanted to check - is deleting this entry a safe and reasonable way of restoring the folder's default security?
thanks,
gubar
