Rocket League creator Psyonix teased a new basketball mode last month. Dubbed Hoops, the highly anticipated game mode is set to arrive as part of a free update on April 26.
Up to this point, however, all we had to go on was a single screenshot. That’s no longer the case thanks to a brand new trailer that dropped on YouTube earlier today.
Hoops will play out in a new arena, appropriately named the Dunk House. Gamers will also be able to represent their favorite NBA team through the NBA Flag Pack DLC (for a fee, of course) which unlocks all 30 NBA teams’ logos as in-game vehicle flags.
The game was originally released digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We learned a couple of weeks back that Psyonix is putting together a physical Collector’s Edition for console owners this summer that’ll include the main game, all three DLC packs – Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and Chaos Run (and presumably, the Hoops DLC) – as well as four all-new vehicles.
No word yet on how much the Collector’s Edition will sell for or when exactly it’ll go on sale.
