Run 32 and 64 bit on Windows 7

I know a professional ..... who owns a "Laptop" with windows 7 .....
That is running ..... 32 & 64 bit "OS" on his laptop ....
I would assume that the "Laptop" must have ...... the proper required drivers
for both systems in order to make this possible.
if anyone has actually installed this combination of operating systems and has experienced the
benefits of being able to run 32 & 64 bit "OS" programs on one computer ..... please explain if
you have any operating system issues in programs being installed.

64 bit Windows runs an emulation layer WOW (windows on windows) which allows 32 bit programs to run almost as fast as natively. So what your 'acquaintance' is saying checks out.

I have an old acer laptop (intel core 2 duo 1.6ghz) with windows vista 32bit (installed on drive C) dual booted with windows 7 64bit (installed on second partition)

If what the thread starter mean is running 32-bit and 64-bit programs on the same 64bit operating system, then yes it is possible.
64bit programs cannot be run on 32bit operating system.
