    Occasionally when I open IE I get the following error:
    ==============
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe

    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.
    ==============

    Then I click on OK to remove the error message and continue with what I was doing as if nothing ever happened. I have no idea what is causing this and don't understand what any of it means.

    Any help to understand what this error means, whats causing it, and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. If an Hijack This Log is necessary I can provide one.

    I am using Windowl XP SP2.

    Thaks. Have a great day. :confused:

    Time to ditch IE and go to www.getfirefox.com
    Start using Firefox instead, and use IE strictly for Windoze updates and perhaps some online banking, where required.
