S.O.S new comp ... confused

these are the parts i bought to assemble a new desktop

and i used the old hdd from previous comp. as everything was put together, i started the comp up and it only turned on with a repeated short beep that doesn't end until i shut off the computer, and there is no video output on my monitor. I have a 2nd computer to use as a test, and I tested the ram it works, the cpu, it works, the video card, it works, so i'm wondering what could cause this problem? but if mobos are deffective, they wouldn't turn on at all right? help pls =(

oh btw, i have a 450W PSU (stock, came with case)

from the top of my head, I dont know what that series of beeps mean. It should be somewhere in your motherboard manual, so you might want to look that up.
