sata drivers needed

    hi all

    heres my problem
    i have a packard bell computer (imedia 1538mc) i had vista on it but i wasnt keen , so i have been trying to put xp back on it ,but i have a sata drive so i have to do the f6 thing when reinstalling (3rd party).
    my problem is the pc didnt come with a mainboard disk so i have no way of getting the sata/raid controllers ,the mainboards is a gigabyte ga-8i915pmd .
    when i go on their site they dont list the mainboard

    It might be included in the chipset driver bundle. I don't really know. You'd have to download it and see.

    they are too big to go on a floppy disk drive that i have just
    bought .. no op system installed

    You wouldn't put the whole bundle on the floppy. I was speculating that if you opened the downloaded file, you might be able to separate out the SATA/RAID drivers, but maybe not. If not, I'm out of ideas.
