Sata hd problem

when i go to upload windows xp it says it can't recognize any hard disk drive. I have a sata hd 250gb i use a MSI intel 865g neo2 -p people said i didnt need anything to boot up the sata drive because its alrdy in the mobo, am i doing something wrong here? windows won't install because it doesnt recognize it

Did you load the SATA drivers when you load Windows? At the point where it says "Hit F6 to load additional drivers" (or something like that).

The drivers should be available on this page...

You want the ones under Intel IAA RAID Edition for ICH5R.

Extract the information to a diskette and hit F6 when loading Windows.
