Ok so I bought a 250gb Sata HDD, I removed my old HDD and installed the new one, I connected the Sata cable to the HDD and Sata 1 on the Mobo, I then created a Sata Diskette, and then had problems getting the Mobo to recognise it, I eventually got it working, then the manual says to install windows xp as normal, however when I try to run the setup from the cd, it tells me to 'press any key to boot from cd', but my keyboard wont work.

Before I get to 'press any key', the keyboard is on cause the num lock led is on, but then goes off and because I cant press a key it will not run from cd.

I only have one Sata drive install no other IDE device, I am now having to run windows from my old HDD just to get this message out.

Does anyone know how to install this Sata drive properly, or what could be wrong my setup.

The HDD is: Maxline Plus II, 250gb Sata/150 HDD

are yu using a USB keyboard? it is not a sata drive problem. it is a keyboard problem. check in your bios to enable USB support during boot up or use a Ps\2 keyboard.
