Sata Raid Problem

I have installed 2 Stat Hard disks and configured them as a striped set. They work perfectly well however if I try and connect an IDE drive as a spare it always trys to boot from there. There is a field in the Bios that asks first boot device RAID or IDE, this is set to Raid and the first boot device is HD0

Any suggestions welcome

Does your bios have a Boot Priority page? Since bios shows all your hdd product numbers, find out the number for the hdd you want to boot from, then select that as the first boost device.
