scalable d.g.e ????

    I just bought a new motherboard fom ECS, model 915Pl-A2. the motherboard claims to have something called scalable dge, but I'm not really sure what it is. The manual is somewhat vague saying that it allows two graphics cards simultaneously. Does anybody noe what this really is? Does this mean that I can hook two video cards to work together like crossfire. What exactly can I do with this?
