Scanning documents

tried scanning a health application document,and saved it in a text file,when opened in word perfect i can't fill out the form. what am i missing? running windows xp. thanks

Uhm. Scanners work on imaging principles. Unless you have some special text recognition software, all you will ever get out of a scanner is a picture.

running windows xp and omnipage 14. i scan a text page and save it in word. if it's a page with text and lines to fill out ( like a personal info form) the lines are not there or misplaced. tried some ajustments, nothing seems to help.
any suggestions? thank you
