Screen resolution wont change

I unistalled all of ati anf followed it from a guide here.
I installed the official ati drivers and catalyst. Latest ones.

I try to change the screen resolution, but after i reboot to apply changes it goes back to 800x600.
My resolution is 1024x768 and always was.

Try setting your refresh rate to 60HZ you can do this via display properties in control panel, also try removing your monitor in device manager and reboot and let windows find it again then try setting your resolution.
