Each time that I boot up my computer no matter what my screen resolution is set for the screen goes blank and defaults to the lowest screen resolution and renders my screen useless because the Icons are too large. How can I set the screen resolution to a permanent setting?
I have a generic (ebay) computer PC/400 w/384 mgs of 2100ddr ram, 60 gig h.d. and Nvidia geoforce 2 video card.
I am using xp. I have deleted the driver and sound card many times to no avail.
thank you in advance for your help

Did you press OK in the display settings dialog? :p

Maybe you are starting Windows in safe mode?

Maybe Windows isn't detecting the vid card correctly?
