I need some help guys... I need to take some screenshots of some progs on my computer for school, but i can't figure out how to do it. the "print screen" button doesn't seem to accomplish anything, and thats what i thought would do the trick. thanks for any help you can offer.

It does the trick, it just at first appears not to. You need to open up a program that you can paste images into. Paint or Irfanview work best for simple screenshots. Then just go to edit -> paste. It should just appear.
tip - use alt+prt scr to capture the active window. prt scr captures everything on display (with a few exceptions in special cases)

If you want to print by just pushing "print Screen", there are quite a few free downloads that allow you to do that. Just go to a site like CNet, put "print screen" in the search area and tell it to look in downloads.
