the only thing i know about the popup is that it comes up every 10 mins. I couldnt find any information on it in the event viewer or scheduled tasks.

In my scheduled Tasks i have "googleupdate" and "windows live toolbar" running every hour. I think you told me before that I should turn these off. Could you tell me how to again?

Also another problem I just found out is that my CD rom drive is not working anymore. I looked at my "Device Manager" folder and looked at the properties for my CD rom. The status says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". Any way I can fix that?

To disable or delete a tasks:

1. Click on the Start menu> type tasks in the search field.
2. Click on the "Schedule tasks" link:
3. Scroll to the task you want to stop.
4. Do a Right-click> Disable
   [*] Click Yes to the confirmation message.

It would be best if you started a thread in the Hardware forum for the CD Drive problem. They can better advise you there. They may have you run minidump files to find the bad driver. I don't do those.
