Secondary hdd in windows 7 with old xp install left on it

  1. i am trying to transfer old files from a corrupted hdd that had a xp install on it..i have two sata hdd's connected one is the old one and one is the new one with windows 7 on it.i am currently trying to access the my documents on it to try and get the files in need from it but it tells me i dont have permissions to access the directory.i have set permissions in windows 7 for all users and also the advanced portion and still cannot get intot he folder i have even tried to share the entire drive and that didnt work either.please any help would be appreciated

    Try and change the owner of all of the files to the current user in WIndows 7.

    thanks for the help but i got it..just had to change the owner of the object in windows 7 and we are now good.
