  1. Hey, I am slowly advancing my skills on the computer. Well heres what is going on, I have a laptop and can pick up 3 wireless signals from my house. I wanted to send messages to the people telling them that their router is unencrypted and all that would i go about doing this?

    Hi phil11.Welcome to Techspot.

Only the CIA can do the sort of thing your asking :)

The only way you might be able to do it, is to walk around with a signal detector,

or your laptop, and find out where the signals of the open networks are strongest, then

try and workout which building it`s coming from. They should be within about 100 feet.

There is also something called Netstumbler which may help.

IMHO it`s not worth trying to inform people, just don`t use their connection.

log on to the network do a ip address check then do a search for this address and the provider will come up that will get you close you can call them and they may be willing to call there customer and tell them
my ip says comcast pitt pa
you can try a router connection but this can land you in jail even if your trying to help
