I have windows server 2012 installed on my vmware running ad, dhcp and dns.
after that I installed the client running windows 8.1.
but when I try to join the domain it says that the domain could not be found.
so I hit ipconfig in my cmd on the windows 8 and it didnt recieve any ip from my dhcp its ip address is169.254.153.23. so basicly my dhcp didnt give me any ip adress since my server is on 192.168.7.128 network subnetmask 255.255.255.192.
in the virtual machine setting I have both network adpters set on bridged: connected directly to the physical network.
when I open the dhcp on my server I have a red arrow pointing down on the ipv4 and ipv6 option but since I cannot ping my server at all I dont think its my dhcp but my vmware network.
does somebody know how to fix this?
