Server Raid

I have a set of servers around 9, none of them have RAID. nOw what i want to do is to, provide redundency to the server hard drives. for that i could either install a raid controller card in it,configurer it & make a fresh installation of it. But the problem is that i would have to buy seperate Raid controller cards & hard Drives for each of my servers. Is there any solution in which i can buy some sort of Network Storage Device NAS & make all servers hard drives mirrorring in real time environment & if any of my server hard drives fail, then i could just simply use the hard drive from that Storage Device or server. ?

kindly post your reply ASAP & help me out in this.

Thankyou

Yes, you can buy external storage. It doesn't even have to be NAS or SAN - there are simple SCSI, SAS and SATA boxes too.

No, you cannot automagically mirror your existing single hard drives to that storage.

Depending on your OS, you may be able to clone your internal hard drives to the storage box offline and then boot from there.
