Setting new partition for windows xp pro

i am on the windows xp professional partition set up screen and i am attempting to set up a partition on a 131054 mb disk. i am attempting to set the partition to be 131046. when i hit enter to set this partition, it takes me back to the previous screen showing the original unpartioned space only and does not indicate the new partitioned space. does anyone out there have any advise?

Are you trying to put the OS on this partition. If not use software like Partition Logic.
