sharing internet with XP-help

    i have internet connected to a fedora pc. i am able to share net with another fedora pc, but i am not able to share net with a XP pc. somebody please help..

    you need the SAMBA service. Search this site and you'll find a sample config.
    you also need to open port 139 and 445 on your private LAN ip address, but not on the WAN side.

    Doesn't need samba to share the internet..

    Just set the TCP/IP configuration on the Windows box to the same you have on the working Linux box (diferent IP address of course).

    hey nodsu, it worked. i had tried that before, but it didnt worked at that time.. but this time it worked, i dont know how..
