I just got SIMS 2 for Christmas. We put it in and it said something about updating directx so I did. Then, after it was FINALLY all done installing, it started up. Every time it starts up, a message about needing a DirectX 9.0 graphics adapter. What do I do? I've tried EVERYTHING!

The situation with Sims2 is as follows.

1 you need DirectX9.0c installed on your computer.

2 you need a graphics card that is capable of supporting directX9.0c.

3 the driver for the graphics card must also support DirectX9.0c.

    What card are you using?

    What are your system specs?

Look at the games system requirements to see if it will run on your system.

1 I just installed it yesterday.
    2 Where do I get 1?
3 How do I know if it does or not?
4 IDK what card I'm using.
    5 What are system specs?
6 All requirements are met except that.

BTW- as u can tell, I dont know much about computers and system settings

    How do I know wat I card/support I have?

Click start/ programmes /accesories/ system tools/ system information.

Once the system information consol has opened click on componants and then display this will tell you what graphics card you are running.

Sytem specs means system specifacations I.E graphics card/memory/hard drive/motherboard/sound card etc.
