I have the Sims 2 installed on my computer, and whenever I enter a neighborhood, I receive one of those annoying Windows Messeges reading, "The Application has crashed. The Application will now close." I have followed the instructions on Ea's website, and it worked. I had to wipe my hard drive, and now I have the same problem. The instructions on the site now haven't worked. I have uninstalled it, removed all of the registry items, and all of the items in my documents with no luck. I have also turned hardware acceleration off, but receive another messege about needing a Direct X 9.0c graphic card, which I have, as well as Direct X 9.0c. I am ready to throw the disk in the trash. I really need help!
