sims 2 please help !!

    i had my computer fixed and everythin had 2 b restarted and now my sims2 isnt working , it keeps coming up with :

    Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system!Please make sure you have a direct X9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.

    its sooo annoying and i have tried loads but nothins working , please help !!

    Not much to work with here. So what have you tried? Help us help you. What are your computer specifications?
