Sims 2 says failed to find compatible driverx 9c

I've been having this issue for days now. I recently installed the sims 2 so I could play it but I keep getting this issue. I've tried downloading different driverx 9c files and installing them but it hasn't changed anything. My current OS is windows 10. Has anyone had this issue and know how to fix it?

What is the exact error message? You might be misinterpreting the message.

Install directx 9.0c redistributable (june 2010) from Microsoft or filehippo mirror and reboot computer.
install gpu driver and reboot computer.

btw, complete specifications of your computer? (cpu, memory, gpu, gpu driver version, storage, OS), etc)
