  1. ok I've read many of the posts on the sims2 im having the same problem with the Directx9.0 thing! Here's all my comp info, please let me know what I need to do

    System = Micrsoft Windows XP Proffessional Version 2002 Service Pack e
    System Model = OptiPlex GX110
    Comp = Intel Pentium III processor 863 MHz, 256MB of RAM
    Disk Drives = Quantum Fireball lct20 20
    Display adapters = Intel(R) 82810e Graphics Controller (Microsoft
    Chip Type = Intel(R) 82810, total memory, 32.0 MB
    (Features) = DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled
    Direct3D Acceleration: Enabled
    AGP Texture Acceleration: Enabled
    DVD/CD-Rom drives = CL5263V WRL051B SCSI CdRom Device
    LG CD-ROM CRD-8282B
    IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers= Intel(R) 8201AA Bus Masters IDE Controller
    Primary IDE Channel

    So what do I do now, do I need to buy a video card or can I fix this myself somehow?

    ROFL, your joking right?
    Go buy a computer, what you listed above isn't a computer anymore its an expensive paper weight.
    If you can't afford a computer just get a deck of cards.

    Lol it may be a free gift but whatever it is... In a more friendly response lol.... Your computer isn't good enough for Sims2. Try the first series :slurp:

    Sorry Realidad, you won't be able to play the sims 2 without an upgrade, i'd be surprised if you got the sims 1 working
