Solved Sirefef.R

Turn system restore off.
Restart computer.
Turn system restore on.

That will remove all old restore points and it'll create one fresh, clean one.

Download Windows Repair (all in one) from this site

Install the program then run

Go to step 2 and allow it to run Disc check

Once that is done then go to step 3 and allow it to run SFC

On the the Start Repairs tab click Start button.

Click on box next to the Restart System when Finished. Then click on Start

Only one problem remains that was caused by the virus: I cannot connect to my Sonos media player with the desktop Sonos controller application. Sonos technician took control of my computer to run some firewall and networking tests.

Command (run with admin command prompt) "C:\Windows\system32\netsh advfirewall reset"
returns
"An unrecoverable Windows Firewall error (0xd) occured."

The GUI Firewall Advanced tab reset button does not work either. Firewall exceptions are not deleted.

When I disable the Windows firewall I cannot connect either, but I can ping the hardware player on the network.

Any suggestions?
