sis 7012 audio driver

i recently reinstalled xp . however i now no longer have sound .my sound driver is sis 7012 onboard (i think , it says sis 7012 ac37 in bios);also the aapter is sis
640 rev 00.does that make a difference to sound? i recently installed pci drivers
but i still have no sound

please help me

you must install the chipset drivers first, then all drivers afterward (including sound). said drivers can be downloaded from your motherboard's manufacturer's website for your board model. if you are unsure about your motherboard's mfg and model, you can download and run "cpu-z", looking under the motherboard tab. hope this helps.
