Hi,
I recentlygot into gaming and im thinking of upgrading to an asus crosshair with a couple of nice graphics cards, but on the spec here
says supports NVIDIA cards for SLI, my question is, untill i get round to buying the new cards can i use my ati X1600XT card with this board or is it only limited to NVIDIA when using SLI?
Many thanks,
Chris

yeah pretty sure it will work as it is still a PCI-E slot. its just got the chipset for SLI to work.

mite be wrong but im pretty sure it will work.... someone will know for sure...

You can use any PCI-E card that supports SLI. of course SLI implies TWO of the same identical cards.

With SLI you need the bridge, whereas with crossfire you need a "crossfire edition" graphics card.

One graphics card will work regardless, but don't bother trying to get two to work, since without the sli bridge (That you can't attach to an ati card) sli won't work :)
