No problems yet with the audio, the computer runs faster than before which is fantastic. The system tray was still broken though so I spent a while trying to google a solution. I ended up having to delete two registry keys "IconStreams" and "PastIconsStream" and then reset explorer.exe again which fixed that particular issue. Some icons in folder options are still broken but I suppose this is just residue damage from malicious software that I'll have to deal with. Again, thank you so much for your help!
