slow outlook express

I installed oulook express and explorer 6 and it now takes ages for the email to open up. How can I speed it up? also, how can I stop having to put in my password everytime it opens?

How do you connect to the the internet? For instance if it is dial up, certain settings will force Outlook to wait while your connection is completed.More info is needed about your setup and O/S
