I'm trying to connect to a socks proxy server from work, but work has a proxy server with a firewall. I know that port 22 is open, so I setup SOCKS Puppet on my home computer, and SocksCap on my laptop at work. I can ping the server, but I can't connect to it. I go to the event viewer, and find a 10048 error, saying "Unable to bind listening socket, only one usage of each socket address(protocol/network address/port) is permitted"
Also below that one was, "Services runing as user account configure to run in either local service or network service account" I'm thinking I might have to change the properties of the service of SOCKS Puppet. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
OS on both, and service pack 2 for both. And I can ping the server from work, just can't connect. Keeps saying "request refused or timed out".
