Hi guys, I have an external hard drive. I am looking for a good simple tool and hopefolly not too exensive. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced
What do you want to do? Transparently encrypt the drive contents? Make your pick here if you are using Windows: http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/encryption.shtml Cryptoloop devices have been a part of Linux for some time.
It's for an external drive. There is personal data on it. All I want is if i lost the drive or if someone happens to look at the content, I don't want them to see. Thanks
If you are looking for a good way to protect your data, try PGP. http://www.pgp.com/ If you wanna do the whole drive, they are coming out with a product for that. http://www.pgp.com/products/desktop/wholedisk/index.html
