Some problems with my 17" lcd monitor

For a while I've been having some problems with my new machine. On occasion (it seems to be random), I will see black triangles move around the screen when I am playing World of Warcraft. A similar thing happens when I play Everquest 2, though it is worse because I see a pink vertical line and the movement of the triangles is more erratic. I find that if I restart my machine, it fixes this.
The other problem I have only had happen recently is my monitor will start turning black and then flickering back to the desktop, the power light is on during this. Sometimes it will go black for a few minutes and then return to normal. I was thinking this could be a problem with the power supply? Could it? Well here are my specs.

250w ps
17" lcd monitor
80gb hd
cd writer
geforce fx 5600 128mb
1.5gb ram
1.6ghz amd sempron 64
wireless card
2.1 speakers

This actually sounds like a heat problem with your CPU or graphics card.
Download the free program PC Wizard 2006. It will tell you the temperatures of your CPU. (and your graphics card, if it has a sensor on it.)

Also, your monitor may be malfunctioning. Is it old? Or cheap? Post its specs so I may look (response time, etc.)
