You need to go into Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel and uninstall anything relating to FlashGet.

* Navigate to the following file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Translat\LicenseManager.exe
* Click Open
* Please let me know the results.

Now go and read the Viruses/spyware/malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, ComboFix, and AVG Antispyware logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above. Also post here the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

Hi,

In addition to kitty500cat's instructions, please also do the following:

You may wish to copy and paste these instructions on notepad for easier reference later.

Boot into safe mode under your normal user name. See how HERE

Next turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE

Go to start > Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs.
Remove anything related to the following:

Megaupload

After that, run HijackThis and fix the following entries, if found (do this by placing a tick in the check boxes beside these entries and clicking "Fix checked"):

O2 - BHO: Mega Manager IE Click Monitor - {bf00e119-21a3-4fd1-b178-3b8537e75c92} - C:\Program Files\Megaupload\Mega Manager\MegaIEMn.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C138E718-082E-4BFC-AA7D-A04BEED938FD} - (no file)
O8 - Extra context menu item: Download Link Using Mega Manager... - C:\Program Files\Megaupload\Mega Manager\mm_file.htm

Close HJT.


Navigate in Windows Explorer and delete the following files and folders in bold.

C:\Program Files\Megaupload

Reboot into normal mode and rehide your protected OS files.

Thereafter, please post fresh HJT, ComboFix and AVG Antispyware logs from normal mode as attachments into this thread. Do not copy and paste the logs.
