    Why don't they just make a browser in these systems that runs all apps instead of individual apps? You can have favorites like in ie/firefox. Maybe they just don't know how to write browsers.

    Or maybe it won't make them any money if they allow outside apps to work on it thru a browser. In case you didn't know companies don't ignore the latest and greatest features everyone wants simply because they are stupid, its because they always look for the best way to make money off it. Apple and its iPad and iPhone devices is a perfect example of a product that Apple always leaves something out so they can have something new for the next version and their fanbase is dumb enough to swallow it hook, line and sinker.
