Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Check in your device manage for any yellow exclamation, or questions marks. If you find any. It`s almost certain that you`ll need to reinstall the drivers.

If your computer is an oem build such as, Dell/Compaq/HP etc. Go to your computer manufacturers website for all the drivers.

Otherwise, go to your mobo manufacturers website, and get the drivers from there.

You can also download the free Everest programme from HERE It will give you lot`s of info about your system.

Regards Howard

:hotbounce

Latest News!

When i updated the hardware changes page...the exclamation mark next multimedia audio controller came back...
the i updated that one..it needed cmuda.sys file....
i had that file in some downloaded c-media driver package...
i agve that file it worked out...and exclamation is gone...
but now there is an exclamation next to c media ac 97 audio device...
i think i shall check once after restarting...
but now what :hotbounce

Are you sure you`ve installed the correct drivers?

I suggest you completely uninstall the sound drivers, then download the latest sound drivers from either your mobo manufacturers website, or your computer manufacturers website.

Regards Howard :)
