Sound card going bad?

i have a sound blaster audigy and recently during games every so often it makes a cracking noise. i have reinstalled drivers, set all options back to default, and reseated the card. nothing seems to work.

Try putting the mains plug into another socket, check what other appliances are running when it makes the crack.

I had same problem and found it was the wifes clothes dryer
